Smart City Supply Contract – Rotherham, UK, The Company is pleased to announce that its subsidiary Aldridge Traffic Systems has been awarded a contract with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) in the UK, to supply state of art “Smart City” iCells for the control of the RMBC’s street lighting for the next two years with an option to extend the contract for a further two years until May 2025. Commencing on 1 June 2021 the Company will supply in excess of 3,600 “Smart City” iCell units to Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council through the life cycle of the contract. Traffic Technologies’ Managing Director, Con Liosatos, said: “This contract is significant to the Company, the Company has the ability, expertise and systems to take on projects of this calibre and the contract with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is a major step for the Company’s expansion into supply of “Smart City” iCells for the street lighting sector in the UK. Along with street lighting and Smart City trials in Ireland, this contract provides significant potential for further growth and presence in the UK market through the introduction of new, competitive and innovative products and “Smart City Systems.”
