Victoria Roads and Local Government

Metropolitan South East and Metropolitan North West Regions

Project value Total:
$1.3M

Traffic Technologies Ltd (ASX: TTI) (‘Traffic Technologies’ or the ‘Company’) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded contracts for 100 off electronic road signs from the Victorian Road Authority and Local Government to the value of $1.3 million.

The contracts awarded by the Department of Transport are for the supply and installation of electronic speed limit signs inclusive of software and other associated works across Metropolitan South East and Metropolitan North West Regions and by local government in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne including the suburbs of Kew, Camberwell and Hawthorn. The electronic speed signs are an immediate reminder to drivers of the mandatory reduction in the speed limit from 60 km/h to 40 km/h and are designed to keep school children and localised shopping precincts safe by lowering the speed limit at peak times when children and the public are travelling to and from school and whilst shopping. Traffic Technologies’ Managing Director, Con Liosatos, said: “The receipt of these contracts is very encouraging as it has increased the Company’s footprint of our Australian made state of the art equipment and software across Melbourne and also represents significant sales of the Group’s high-end hardware and software range which has been developed to the highest standards over a number of years to a growth market now that lockdown restrictions have been eased.“
